AusCycling’s Fast Track programs have been developed to provide a committed focus towards increasing talent pools in women’s team sprint and para track endurance disciplines. The programs offer the potential of a clear and direct pathway towards contesting Olympic or Paralympic gold through targeted identification of athletes with the ideal profile and fast-tracking their progress to world-standard. They are fully resourced, coach-led programs of progressive assessment and development with specific focus of identifying recruiting and confirming talent capable of medal winning performance at Paris games in 2024.
The programs utilise an alternative pathway and development model, while leveraging innovative practice to deliver world-beating athletes quickly. Taking a targeted approach to identify appropriate program candidates, initial stages of the program will provide clear assessment processes to determine potential towards 2024. Successful candidates with then be supported through a progressive assessment and development process, individually tailored to meet you, the athlete, where you’re at and working with you to be supportive of your current training and competitive commitments. Engagement will then increase through training and assessment at centralised camps and national training environment exposure. Understanding you and your background, is foremost throughout. Through all stages we will progress towards confirming your Olympic-potential and final commitment to the national program and Olympic journey. At all times we work with our staff and athletes to ensure a inclusive and empowering environment, aiming to provide athletes with the best chance to flourish, grow and realise their potential.
